Downloading the new firmware update

To install the new firmware update, make sure to perform the following steps:

1. Remove the SD card from your board and insert it into your computer.

2. Download the update.dat file and put it on the SD card:

3. The firmware update will be automatically installed after rebooting the board.

- Elimination of clicking noise

The new firmware update makes the board more robust against SD cards with less performance.

Previously, when using a slow SD card, it could happen that there is a slight clicking noise when the

hum loops. This is now fixed, effectively eliminating the clicking noise. As another effect of the

increased robustness against SD cards with less performance, also any other sound transition has been

further smoothened.

-Fix ignition speed and retraction speed

Previously, it could happen that the change of the ignition speed and retraction speed of sound fonts

different from the currently active one was not saved. This is fixed now.

- Fix randomized boot sounds

With the previous firmware update, it could happen that the boot sound was not chosen randomly.

under certain circumstances. 

This is fixed by the new firmware update.

-Minor bug fixes

The new firmware update fixes a series of minor bugs, enhancing the reliability and stability. These

refinements, though subtle, contribute significantly to a smooth and consistent operation, ensuring

an overall improved user experience.

New Online Effect Library

Just a short update on the further development of the configurator. We received feedback from many of you that the animation does not work on some laptops. Therefore, we are currently focusing on fixing this. All the great suggestions that we received from you will also be implemented after we fixed it.

In the process of doing that, we redesigned the online effect library of the configurator as we suspected that the communication with our server was the reason for the configurator not to work at least on some laptops. 

For other laptops, it may be a different reason which means that it will not yet work on those. We decided to share the current status so that you can test the new online effect library.

After the redesign, the online effect library works much smoother now. In particular, it is much faster to upload and download blade styles.

For all of you who didn't know about the online effect library yet, let me briefly explain it. After selecting the Blade Styles tab, you can choose the online effect library in the effect library drop-down menu. By doing that, the configurator loads the blade styles that are stored there instead of the ones that are stored on your SD card. When you find one that you would like to use, you can click on the download button so that it will be stored on your SD card.

 If you want to upload a custom blade style to the online effect library, select it and click on the upload button. Also, we introduced a password protection. 

That means, when uploading a blade style, you can add a password which you can use to edit the blade style even after it was uploaded to the online effect library.

how to update 

unzip file update.dat and general.txt and overide the current files on the sd card. once updated reinsert sd card to board and reinsert battery wait for update and reboot sound.

GHv3 Crossguard and Normal Hilt Kylo Blade improvement based on suggestions.
download link and add both files to Slot 9 if Krossguard is sound17 on your saber.

you will also be able to change it and revert back to it via blade effects. it will say kylo ren.
