New GHv4 Firmware Update
We’re thrilled to announce a new firmware update for the GHv4 that brings the following important bug fixes:

- Resolve in-hilt LED issues.
- Fix potential flickering of LED4.
- Enable accent LEDs 8–10 to correctly indicate firmware update progress and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection.
- Prevent false charging sound triggers when Wi-Fi/Bluetooth is enabled with legacy charging detection.

How to Update:
Installing the latest firmware update on your GHv4 is quick and straightforward. You have two options:
Using the Golden Harvest Commander:
- Open the Golden Harvest Commander web app.
- Click on the "Check Firmware" button to download and install the update.
Manual Installation:
- Download the .bin firmware file here:

- Copy the file to your SD card.
- Insert the SD card into your GHv4 and reboot the board.

Update Progress Indication:
During the update, the onboard status LED and any connected accent LEDs will pulse, gradually speeding up as the process nears completion.

We’ve received reports about issues with sound fonts that use a non-GHv4 naming scheme. Here’s what we’ve discovered and how we’re addressing it:

Identified Issues:
- Some of these sound fonts may not work out of the box due to a bug in the current firmware. Temporary Solution: We recommend renaming sound files to follow the GHv4 naming scheme.

- If the settings.txt file is absent, the user interface sounds may be muted. Temporary Solution: Ensure the settings.txt file is present in the sound font folder. You can copy it from a pre-installed sound font.

Upcoming Fixes:
We’re rolling out a firmware update next week to address these issues. The update will restore compatibility with other naming schemes. Also, the firmware will automatically use default parameter values if the settings.txt file is missing, ensuring the user interface sounds work without additional steps.

Steps Already Taken:
To help you resolve these issues immediately, navigate to the problematic sound font and use the "File Check" button in the Golden Harvest Commander. This tool will rename all files to match the GHv4 naming scheme and automatically add a settings.txt file if it’s missing. When adding new sound fonts via the Golden Harvest Commander, these adjustments are made automatically.

General Recommendation:
For best performance and compatibility, we strongly recommend using the GHv4 naming scheme for all sound fonts. This ensures optimal functionality and minimizes potential issues, regardless of firmware support for other formats.
